Under the guidance of Lord Visnu, Brahma brought his intelligence to bear and began to create the universe. From his buttocks he created the demons, who are very fond of sex. Then, to absorb the demons' attention, he created from his mind the twilight, which took the form of a beautiful damsel playing with a ball. From his loveliness Brahma then created the heavenly dancers and musicians, and from his sloth the ghosts and fiends. Brahma next cast off his subtle mental body in the form of yawning, and the ghosts took possession of it.
