Lord Caitanya many times in His later pastimes in Jagannath Puri was not externally conscious. Internally He was absorbed in the pastimes of Krishna in Vrindavan. Here we see Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu helping the Gopis to collect flowers so they can make a nice flower garland to offer to Krishna.
