Maybe it's the quality of the materials. Besides that, it perflecty serves its purpose. Thanks! Hare Krsihna Prabhu. This is the nature of brass, If you leave the water in it it will oxidize like this. So we should not leave the water in it. Just put water in before offering the aroti and then clean and dry it. There is no way to stop brass from oxidizing when you put water in it.Read less
