Read more Hare Krishna, I've owned this Mrdanga for two years and also have a full sized clay Mrdanga purchased else where. The small Fiberglass Mrdanga is excellent, it will not break, it sounds nice and does not hurt your hands like plastic Mrdanga's do. However, the leather straps for this Mrdanga are very thin. This is designed as a toy more than a real instrument. My Mrdanga has loosened after about a year and lost most of it's sound as a result. Attempts to tighten the straps results in breakage of the straps since they are so thin. If thicker / higher quality leather straps were used this Mrdanga would be 10 stars, not 5 as it sounds excellent when new. Overall, I still recommend a purchase. The price is excellent, this is a real Mrdanga, it produces a very nice sound, can be played like a larger sized instrument, it won't break (sort of serious impacts), and is very light to carry.Read less
