I love to read one page a day and think about the beautiful illustrations for that day as a meditation. I am a newly initiated devotee, and there are quite a few pictures that I have not seen before. I was even wondering if it was inexpensive enough to distribute on a wide scale because it is very endearing. I know I will at least order another one to send to my mother who is in her 80s. Read more This was ordered as a birthday present for our daughter, who has just turned 2. As there's just a verse on each page to accompany the picture, it's not too much writing and I thought, could hold her attention. But really she just focuses on the pictures and prefers us to explain them rather than reading the verses. Which is fine, and perhaps she'll like reading the verses as she gets older. The paintings are beautiful and our daughter loves to look at them. At the moment her favorites are Krishna's bathing ceremony, and Krishna dancing on the heads of the Kaliya serpent to punish him. I think it's lovely for children to have this book, as they can see the things that Krishna liked to do when He was little, like them, and in this way their attraction and remembrance for Him can increase. A beautiful book for anyone, really, but personally I was looking for something suitable for a toddler, which this is. Thank you!Read less
