About this item
Lord Kapiladeva continues: "His cheerful lotuslike countenance has ruddy eyes like the interior of a lotus; His swarthy complexion resembles the color of blue lotus petals; He bears a conch, a discus, mace and lotus flower in His four hands; and His loins are covered with a shining cloth, yellowish like the filaments of a lotus.
"On His chest He bears the mark of Srivatsa (a curl of white hair), which lies just below the brilliant Kaustubha gem hanging from His neck. He wears an attractive garland of sylvan flowers, and near that garland hums a swarm of bees, intoxicated by its delicious fragrance. The Lord is further superbly adorned with a pearl necklace, a crown, and pairs of armlets, bracelets and anklets.
"Always eager to bestow His blessings upon His devotees, He is most charming to look at, for His serene aspect gladdens the eyes and souls of those who behold Him in the ecstatic trance of meditation."
