About this item
When Srila Prabhupada visited Atlanta in 1975 and saw Lord Nityananda and Lord Caitanya, he sung the song Parama Karuna and explained how these two Lords are parama karuna, extremely merciful. The temple is named after a village where Raghunatha dasa, following the orders of Lord Nityananda, observed a festival by distributing chipped rice mixed with yoghurt, and Nityananda blessed him to attain the shelter of Lord Caitanya.
"I offer my respectful obeisances unto Lord Sri Krishna Caitanya and Lord Nityananda, who are like the sun and moon. They have arisen simultaneously on the horizon of Gauda [Bengal] to dissipate the darkness of ignorance and thus wonderfully bestow benediction upon all."
