The Krishna Deity that Srila Prabhupada selected in India for the Dallas temple was much larger than other ISKCON Deities at that time and was said to be hundreds of years old. Srila Prabhupada scheduled the installation for two days after he arrived in Dallas, even though the devotees were unprepared for a high standard of Deity worship. On September 12, 1972, chanting the hymns of the Bhrama-samhita, Srila Prabhuapda installed the Deities and offered Their first arati, or worship.
