- Orange People: During the mid 1980s in Australia the preaching of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh's "Orange People" cult became very prominent. And the followers of Rajneesh took on the same dress as the Hare Krishna devotees, wearing saffron dhotis and shaving their heads. But they did not follow any religious principles. This was before the AIDS crisis and they were engaging in group sex and so many other non-devotional practices. And the general public in Australia began to confuse Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh's "Orange People" with the Hare Krishnas. So the Krishna devotees in Australia mounted a media campaign to counter the propaganda of the "Orange People" and their guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. This is an amazing television show.
